Select text in a window

I am pulling entries from an old database program. I need to do a count of the records of a particular subset and use that to control a loop within my macro. When I do the count within the program, it pops up a window showing the count, but I cannot use a text tool to select the text within the window. An example is below.
Can someone recommend a way to copy this text? Or do a partial screen grab and convert it to text?

Yes, you need to use an OCR program to change this "picture-text" to a real text. (http://www.freeocr.net/)
